With an investment of around 25 million euros, Berndorf AG is sending a strong signal for the future of the industrial location of Berndorf in Lower Austria. Where traditional production halls once stood, a state-of-the-art expansion of the Lumpi-Berndorf wire and rope plant is now being built on an additional 15,000 m². This project not only meets the international demand for transmission lines for electrical energy, but also sets new standards.
The Berndorf Group, active worldwide and established in numerous high-tech segments – from strip and press plates to toolmaking and technologies for renewable energies and batteries – is thus making a targeted investment in a market that is growing rapidly on a global scale. With 2,330 employees in 20 countries, around a quarter of them in Austria, and an export share of more than 90 percent, the group is an industrial heavyweight that knows exactly when it is time to take the next strategic step.
To make the dynamics of this major project visible, Timelapse Systems documented the entire reconstruction using six professional camera systems. From tens of thousands of individual shots, a time-lapse film was created that shows from various perspectives how new halls rise within months, machines move in, and a plant grows step by step into the future. The film conveys the scale and significance of this investment — and how determined Berndorf AG is to lead the Berndorf site into a new era.
