At the end of last year, four new solar parks by Bayernwerk Natur GmbH were connected to the grid in Ruhstorf a. d. Rott (district of Passau), Germany, with a total capacity of around 20 megawatts peak (MWp). The project, completed in just five months, makes an important contribution to the regional energy transition. The solar parks generate approximately 22.7 million kWh of electricity annually, enough to power 7,560 electric vehicles for 15,000 kilometers per year.

The successful collaboration on site was key to the project's success: Farmers provided the land, the municipality of Ruhstorf a. d. Rott offered strong support, and Mayor Andreas Jakob emphasized, "We are shaping the energy transition locally." Hannes Kromer from Bayernwerk Natur also highlighted that the majority of the generated green electricity is marketed regionally.

A special highlight: The team at Timelapse Systems documented the construction process with a high-resolution time-lapse camera. The camera operated autonomously through a photovoltaic island system – another step toward sustainable technology. The time-lapse video showcases the rapid construction progress and illustrates how efficiently and professionally the project was executed. This is the energy transition in action!
