In October 2025, the new regional headquarters of the Red Cross Styria was ceremoniously opened in Graz-Puntigam. Covering an area of more than 17,000 square meters, the modern competence center brings together all operational and administrative units under one roof for the first time, consolidating ten previously scattered locations across Graz and Styria.
By consolidating all tasks at a single location, valuable synergies are created that further increase both efficiency and the quality of care for the population of Styria.
The new building also sets standards in terms of sustainability: green areas, a high-performance photovoltaic system, and the use of geothermal energy ensure environmentally friendly and energy-efficient operations.
Around 450 employees will work in the new regional headquarters and provide the people of Styria with the best possible support.
For over two and a half years, we documented the construction with a site camera and provided a daily updated time-lapse film, allowing the interested public to follow the construction progress online around the clock.
